My attempt to make red eggs. In the Chinese culture, a baby's first month is celebrated with a "Red Egg & Ginger Party". I have no idea what the Ginger symbolises, but traditionally, parents hand out red-dyed eggs to family, relatives and friends, symbolising happiness & renewal of life.
Apparently, it is also during these parties that the mother is "re-introduced" to the world!
I just found out too that an even number of eggs are given out for boys and an odd number for girls!

I am online at the same time as you now. Good attempt at the red eggs!
Apparently ginger is also a sign of good fortune... Recurrent infection sounds nasty! Babies are amazingly resilient so don't feel bad taking time out for yourself for catnaps with him and healing foods.
